Rear Suspension

The rear suspension on my Mustang is made up a few bolt-in components only.  This is not the way I plan on leaving it in the future, but it will have to do right now until my financial situation allows me to purchase the three-link or Torque Arm that I plan to add in the future.  A quick discussion of the two rear suspension types is at the bottom (or will be soon...)

The rear suspension is currently made up of Grigg's double-adjustable lower control arms, Steeda boxed upper control arms, Tokico adjustable shocks, Griggs 260lb/in. springs, and a stock rear sway bar.  I plan on adding a panhard bar, for temporary lateral axle location, even though it may cause cause bind problems with this suspension.  But ultimately, it will help out tremendously with a suspension designed for it.

Update: I have decided to have a three link put in by Paul Faessler of Paul's Automotive Engineering in Cincinnati, Ohio.  We will use either a Griggs Severe Duty Panhard or a Maximum Motorsports Panhard.  The third link will be 13" long, with length adjustment available.  The front mounting point is also adjustable, from inside the car, to optimize the anti-squat compromise of rear grip vs. brake hop.  Hopefully this rear suspension will be put in November, along with a full chassis set-up and a new layer of powder-coat on the Griggs components in front.  As long as the car is ready for the first event in March, I'm okay.  I'm sure the new suspension will require a stiffer spring in back (260lb to 350lb), a slight increase of spring in front (400lb to 475lb), and the addition of an adjustable rear sway bar to help dial in the car.
